The bear that cares

THE SORT OF BEAR WHO CARES

The 1965 Honey Acres Farm Winnie the Pooh denim and khaki vintage varsity bomber jacket is a true piece of nostalgia, embodying a blend of classic charm and timeless style. This iconic jacket, featuring the beloved character Winnie the Pooh, captures the essence of a bygone era and has become a coveted collectible among fashion enthusiasts. The fact that the late rapper XXXTentacion was seen wearing it on his final day, still in impeccable 10 out of 10 condition, adds a poignant and memorable touch to its history and allure.

In 2018 20yr old florida artist XXXTentacion was gunned down while shopping for a dirt bike in Fl, the last image of him before leaving the dirt bike shop was of him wearing a Pooh bear 65’ varsity making it one of the most hottest grails amongst this community of fans. Looking online a lot of people alot of people were looking for this jacket, seeing as to how the jacket was 53 years old at the time it was definitely hard to find let alone in good condition. In total around the internet I found about fourteen in decent condition, three 10/10 and five with the original gray sweat hood and all that to this jacket is pretty rare in good condition.

Yet here I am standing at the beginning of the second isle in Thift Giant in 2015 after a 10 hour shift in a freezer not sure if I really even want to be in here looking at a jacket sleeve half way down the isle. I had $55 to my name at the moment but you really can’t lose thrifting right? But I went for it anyway and boy did I win, there was the dopest blue jean and khaki varsity with Pooh on it that I’ve ever seen for $35. I snatched it up immediately even though I wasn’t too sure how I was going to make it through the week and even contemplating putting it down after a few laps around the store, I even hung it back up then came back on the way out. As I stepped out the door empty handed I promptly went back through the entrance and proceeded to pick up the jacket from where I hide it (because…?? I do that sometimes) and purchased the jacket having no clue what I actually had in my hands nor how it would change my life. Getting in my 84’ cutlass with the oil leak thinking about creating these ski mask I had sketched up.

Someone offered to buy this jacket off my back before I was a seller, it was almost my first sell and started my thoughts of possibly starting a business from my passion of thrifting, vintage an antique items. The first sell I had as an intentional business was the 2018 VLone “screwhead new era” Fitted cap and my second was the honey acre farms jacket in 2020 which launched us into the space of giving to the world. The goal is to make vintage high fashion in grades and slow down fast fashion.
